$2,300,000 Verdict – Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Commercial Vehicle

Shiver Hamilton Campbell represented a client whose vehicle was rear-ended by a commercial vehicle. Our client’s treating physicians attributed his injuries to the wreck, which included a full thickness tear of the right supraspinatus tendon that required surgical repair, disc bulges at L2-3 and L5-S1 and disc herniations at L3-4 and L4-5. Our client also underwent multiple epidural injections and radiofrequency ablations and will likely require a multi-level lumbar fusion surgery in the future.

The insurance company claimed that the wreck was not the proximate cause of our client’s injuries, but a DeKalb County jury disagreed and awarded our client $2,367,187.50.
