$7,500,000 Settlement – Negligent Security / Wrongful Death

This negligent security case involved the death of a 45-year-old mother of three and Navy veteran. The client was murdered during an attempted carjacking that occurred at an Atlanta-area apartment complex. This particular complex was plagued with a staggering amount of violent crime, including another deadly carjacking that occurred six months prior our client’s death. Despite the amount of violent crime at the complex, security was almost non-existent. Our client, who was shot numerous times during the attempted carjacking, eventually succumbed to the gunshot wounds. She was the matriarch of her family, and her death left her family with an immeasurable loss.
